Lacrosse in Physical Education

Want to help grow the game?  Are you a PE teacher that wants to try something different but may not know much about the game?  Are you a parent that would like to have PE in your child's class?  Are you a player that wants your teacher to add lacrosse to their curriculum so you can get more of your friends to understand why you love this sport?

We have been working hard to educate PE teachers about lacrosse.  Many do not know much about the game and that's ok.  Other's have equipment but may not know what to do with it.  That's why we have been participating in the state PE conference where we put sticks into teachers hands and have them rotate through drills, so they can understand more about the game and how to teach it.  We have had an overwhelming response to this so would like to provide more information for anyone that may be interested.

Curriculum Book

US Lacrosse provides a curriculum book and reproducible packet that is a great resource.  This is a teacher-friendly, easy-to-use co-ed curriculum designed for use with soft-lacrosse equipment in a safe, non-contact version the game. The curriculum provides age specific units plans, lesson plans, drills, games, educational handouts, cross-curricular activities and more. Aligns with national standards and was developed in partnership with the National Association for Sport and Physical Education (NASPE).

PE Grants

US Lacrosse offers physical education grants which include full class sets of soft-lacrosse equipment and curriculums to qualifying applicants. These can be awarded to individual teachers or organization-wide to multiple schools in a system. To
